N is for newness. I'm grateful for all the new things I continue to discover. Among them is a new television show I started watching a couple months ago. It's called High Potential. It premiered in September and has received very high ratings. These highly-rated show don't always resonate with me, but this one does.
It's a crime drama, but it's more light-hearted than many other shows in the genre. There's even an element of cozy mystery in it with an amateur sleuth. Morgan is able to notice small details and draw logical conclusions from them. She does this so well that she gets a job as a consultant with the police department. She's also a mom whose husband has gone missing. The search for the missing husband is a subplot, though not one that is focused on too much. I hope they develop this subplot more when the series resumes in January.
One thing I love about the show (besides the premise and main characters) is that there really isn't much course language. There was a little in the first episode, but it was brief and there hasn't been any since then, after a total of seven episodes. I like that I can enjoy the show without any foul language. The characters effectively convey strong emotions without it. I hope they maintain this vibe.
High Potential streams on Disney+ and Hulu the day after each episode airs on ABC. Apart from The Way Home, I haven't been this excited about a new television series in a very long time.
Nori seaweed. Sushi is a favorite meal, but vegetable varieties as I don't eat meat.
ReplyDeleteI have had nori seaweed. It's been a while, but I remember that I liked it. :)
