Welcome to my first ever Stacking the Shelves post! Stacking the Shelves is a blog hop hosted by Reading Reality. On Sundays I will share with you what I'll be reading and listening to in the upcoming week.
PRINT BOOKS
Buried in a Good Book, by Tamara Berry - I started reading this cozy mystery last month, but I got sidetracked and stopped for a while. I have six chapters left to read and I'm planning to finish it this week. I am enjoying it.
The Summer We Forgot, by Caroline George - This seems like it might be a mystery, but not necessarily a cozy one. I listened to one of her audiobooks, Dearest Josephine, last year and I'm excited to finally read her next book in print.
Happy Mind, Happy Life: The New Science of Mental Well-Being, by Rangan Chatterjee - This is a new non-fiction self-improvement book, which I requested that the library purchase. They did and it became available to borrow a few days ago, so I'll pick it up today and begin reading it on Monday. I've listened to many episodes of the author's podcast and I really like his approach to mental health. This will be the first book written by him that I'm reading .
E-BOOK
Can't Hurt Me, by David Goggins - I will be reading this one for a book club that I participate in. Apparently, there is a "clean" version and a "not-so-clean" version. I borrowed the clean version from the library.
AUDIOBOOK
Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder, by Joanne Fluke - This is the book that started it all for me. It is the one that introduced me to cozy mysteries, which has become my favorite genre, and it is the one that made me love reading more than I ever had before. The cozy mysteries book club I participate in is reading this one in August. Since I already read it last year, I have decided to listen to the audiobook this time around. It will be my first time listening to a cozy audiobook. My local library does not have the downloadable audiobook, so I went searching elsewhere and I learned that I can register for a library card in a different library system. (I just have to live in the same state.) That's how I was able to borrow it. YAY!!
I am not planning to finish all of these books this week. Most will carry over into next week. I'll update my progress next Sunday.
Have you read or listened to any of these books? What are you reading or listening to? Tell me in the comments!
I haven’t read any of these books but I love the impact that Joanne Fluke’s book has had on you. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :-)
DeleteWelcome to Stacking the Shelves - I've only been participating a couple months, but have been enjoying the blogs I've discovered. You'll find that your TBR list will grow quickly! Thanks for the visit.

Thank you, Terrie. Yep, my TBR list is already double what I intended it to be! :-)
DeleteGreat list of books. I read the Joanne Fluke book, loved it but haven't had a chance to get back to the series. I will though. I have a couple on my e-reader. Hope you have a great week!
