I am once again linking with That Artsy Reader Girl who hosts Top Ten Tuesday. You can click on her link to view her list and the lists from other bloggers participating in this blog hop.
Well, I learned something new this week. I had no idea what typographical book covers were before seeing that it was today's top ten topic. These are book covers with a design that is all or mostly words, covers that have attractive fonts, or just covers that use words in an artistic way.
In keeping with the theme of my blog, I focused only on cozy mysteries. This presented a challenge for me because most cozies that I've seen have fun covers where the picture is the star of the show. This was a nice change of pace looking for cozies that have covers with words that are the star of the show.
The only ones on this list that I have read are Sugar Cookie Murder, by Joanne Fluke and The Windsor Knot, by SJ Bennet. I read Sugar Cookie Murder before I started this blog (I enjoyed it, but it wasn't a favorite in the Hannah Swensen series), but I did just recently review The Windsor Knot. You can click here to read my review. I think the others on this list sound good, so I'll definitely look into them.
Have you read any of these? Did I miss any cozy mystery typographical covers that stand out to you?
The evanovich covers are always fun. And the Fluke covers too! I like the Christmasy and Halloween ones :)
