Felines and Fill-ins Week 8

Hello friends! I hope everyone in the path of the storms are staying safe. We here in Central Maryland are expecting a deluge of rain this weekend, but it won't be anything like what others are experiencing. I am thinking of all of you!

I am participating in three blog hops, as usual on Fridays. You can click on the host links below to read the blogs of others who are participating, and if you're a blogger, feel free to join through the links below!

QuestionHave you ever skipped ahead to read the ending?

My response: Okay, confession time. Back when I was in elementary school I didn't like to read. Decoding words wasn't a problem, but I struggled with comprehension and it made me tired to even try to read a book. So yes, back then I did skip ahead to the ending quite often.

Now that I love to read, I never skip ahead. I would much rather experience the entire journey even if the pace of the story is slow.

1. I'm usually up before the sun, but sometimes I can be tired and have the need to sleep in an extra hour or two.

2. A new show I like is Once Upon a Time. I'm late to the party. I know the show aired for seven years and ended in 2018, but it is new to me. I have a lot of catching up to do. I have been watching it on Disney+.

3. I would like to skip thunderstorms and jump right to calmer, cooler weather that often follows.

4. I haven't seen a movie in a theater since Christmas Day 2019 (The Rise of Skywalker). Besides the pandemic, I really just prefer to watch movies in the comfort of my own home.

Bell (left) and Fiona (right) turn five months old on October 1st. They celebrated Feline Friday in style this morning. I ate a hard boiled egg for breakfast and I hadn't thrown away the shell pieces yet. Fiona stole the biggest piece and ran away with it. Bell saw what fun Fiona was having, so she joined her game. It was them against me. I finally did regain possession of the shell, but then the whole cycle started again with different pieces of the shell THREE TIMES. They were moving too fast for me to throw everything away before they could get to it. I was so exhausted chasing them that by 9:30 a.m. I felt like my entire day was done.

  2. Such adorable kitties. Thank you for participating in the fil-ins, great answers. I love bingeing shows once they are done so you don't have to wait in anticipation of new seasons. Have a nice weekend.

    1. Thank you. :-) That is so true about binging shows. The problem is I'm also currently watching all 12 seasons of Murder, She Wrote and I'm only on season 2. I have my work cut out for me. :-)

  3. I'm always happy to see Bell and Fiona! They are so cute. I have skipped to the end quite a while ago and it ruined the story for me, so I don't do it any more.
