Felines and Fill-ins Week 11

Hello friends!

I hope those of you who have been or are in the path of the storm are doing okay. It is raining a lot here in Maryland, but so far that is about it for us.

I am participating in three blog hops today. You can click on the host links below to read the blogs of others who are participating, and if you're a blogger, feel free to join through the links below!

QuestionWhich do you prefer to be known as: a voracious reader or a book nerd?

My response: Voracious reader. Specifically, a voracious cozy mystery reader. The warm community of cozy readers has most definitely influenced my love for the genre, but I love the books (and movies) themselves, too.😊

FRIENDLY FILL-INS, hosted by Four-Legged Furballs and 15 and Meowing
1. A veteran I would like to thank today is all of them! Thank you for your service to our country!

2. I can't go a day without reading. I tend to read less on the weekends, but even then I feel like I have to read something. When I'm short on time, it could just be a chapter in a cozy mystery, some pages in a non-fiction book, or an article in Bella Grace Magazine,

3. The library is my most frequented place to obtain books. If they don't already have a book I want to read, then I submit a request for them to purchase it. More often than not, they do.

4. This time of year, sunrise is my favorite time of day to take my daily walk (most days anyway).
Bell had quite a weekend last week. I think if she could climb onto the roof of my four-story building, she would do it in a heartbeat. No height is high enough for her. Interestingly, she's the more timid of the two. She is very sensitive to sounds. The most gentle, but sudden sound will send her bolting faster than the speed of lightning, while Fiona sits there with a concerned look on her face (concern for her sister, not the sound). Fiona climbs and jumps, but not as high as her sister does. Maybe it's because Bell feels safe when she's up high. They do have a cat tower, which they both love, but Bell would prefer to be even higher than that.

  1. Love your fill-ins and love that Bell is a climber. Some cats can't go high enough. Adorable.

  3. I've never read a cozy mystery. I think I'd like them, though, if I ever did.

    1. Greg, I have a fear of heights so I'd be more afraid up high. I know cats think differently, though. :-)

  5. Bell is a cutie. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I get most books from the library too. We can order online from anywhere in my part of the state and get them delivered to town. Have a nice weekend.

    1. Thank you. That's awesome you can order them online and have them delivered! I don't drive a lot so that would make it so much easier for me. I should give my library system this idea, if they haven't already considered it. :-)

  7. Cats are tree dwellers or ground dwellers. Bell is obviously a tree dweller and happiest to be up high. Flynn was also a tree dweller. Eric was a ground dweller although he would on occasion climb trees.
