It's Tuesday, so I am once again linking with That Artsy Reader Girl who hosts Top Ten Tuesday. You can click on the link to her blog to view her list and the lists from other bloggers participating in this blog hop. Different bloggers often have their own unique take on the suggested topic.
Today's suggested topic is favorite "awww" moments in books. I am putting my own spin on this by listing five cozy mystery book covers that are aww-inducing cute. They are listed in alphabetical order.
A Dark and Snowy Night, by Sally Goldenbaum, is the 16th book in the Seaside Knitters Society Mystery Series. This book cover covers both cute and cozy with all the yarn, the knitting needles, the stocking, the lit fireplace, and of course the cat on the chair - cozy warm inside while it's snowing outside.
Bewitched to Death, by Constance Barker, is the first in the Crayon Kitten Cozy Mystery Series. Okay, so maybe the title isn't so cozy, but just look at that adorable kitten, with the sparkles and the witchy hat next to it. I especially loves the kitten's ears.
Bonbons and Broomsticks, by H.Y. Hanna, is the first in the Bewitched by Chocolate series. I know, I know. It's very similar in theme to the previous one on this list, but I just couldn't leave this one out. Another cute kitten with a pointy hat next to it. I love the look of wonder in the kitten's eyes. Also, it sort of looks like it's wearing a cute little bowtie.
Catastrophe in the Library, by Ceecee James, is the third book in the Secret Library Series. This cover won me over with the cat, the books, and the sparkles. I love the cat's striking green eyes.
Lemon Pies and Little White Lies, by Ellery Adams, is the fourth installment in the Charmed Pie Shoppe Mysteries. Not all covers that are cute have to be about cats. Some are about food. I love this whimsically cute blue and yellow cover.
Running Out of Time, by Suzanne Trauth, is the third book in the A Dodie O'Dell Mystery Series. So, not completely cozy, but the cuteness factor here is all about the snowman in a small town.
Survival of the Fritters, by Ginger Bolton, is the first in the Deputy Donut Mystery Series. How could you not say, "Awwwwww" at the look on that cat's face??? I also think the colors of pastel pink and green contribute to the cuteness of the cover.
The Chocolate Raccoon Rigmarole, by JoAnna Carl, is the 18th installment in the Chocoholic Mystery Series. Not all cute animal covers are about cats. Here we have an adorably mischievous raccoon who is clearly up to no good.
Totally Pawstruck, by Sofie Ryan, is the ninth installment in the Second Chance Cat Mystery Series. I don't know about you, but when my cats are so engrossed in looking at something, I think it's cute. That's what we have going on here on this book cover. The raised bent paw kicks the cuteness factor up several notches, too.
Vanilla Beaned, by Jenn McKinlay, is the eighth installment in the Cupcake Bakery Mystery Series. I love the soft yellow and green colors on this cover, which I think make it cute. Plus, we might as well call cupcakes "cute cakes", don't you think so?
I have not even begun to read any of these series, but after discovering them through this list, I definitely want to! Do you think one stands out as the cutest cozy mystery cover, either on my list or another one you've seen?
Cozy covers are some of the best. Along w/ the titles. :) That first one is so cozy, and I love Ellery Adams' books too. I was caught up on her Books by the Bay series at one point...
ReplyDeleteGreg, I just borrowed The Secret, Book and Scone Society from the library and I'll be reading it soon! That will be my first Ellery Adams book. :-)
DeleteHer Book Retreat series (not sure if that's the right title) were good too... :):)):))
DeleteGreg, those are on my TBR list as well. I have so much work to do! :-)
DeleteSounds like some great reads. I love all the covers.
