Question: Do you go back and reread the previous book before starting the sequel?
My response: I will often do this with movies, but not with books. Most series I read are self-contained mysteries. The subplots that continue throughout the series are usually easy to remember, so there's no reason for me to go back and reread previous books before moving on.
FRIENDLY FILL-INS, hosted by Four-Legged Furballs and 15 and Meowing
1. I don't like cream or sugar in my tea.
2. My to do list for December includes reading a few more books, posting a few more reviews, and setting up next year's reading challenges.
3. I still need to drink a glass of water before eating lunch.
4. To me, kindness is the most important part of the holiday season.
Last week I showed you what Fiona looked like at 10 weeks old and what she looks like now. Today it's Bell's turn. I don't think her appearance has changed that much. She's longer and her fur is a little darker. Her face looks a little more mature too. The girls turned seven months old on December 1st. Seven months was the age when I adopted the last cat I had and she was already full grown at that point. So Bell and Fiona may be as big as they're going to get now.
She is cute. My Kitty Yumbum never grew very big and was usually around 5 pounds, 6 at her heaviest.
ReplyDeleteYumbum is such a sweet name! My former cat, Qandi, was only around 6 pounds at her heaviest as well. She was tiny. I miss her so much.
DeleteLove your fill-ins and I agree with kindness. We need more kindness.
ReplyDeleteAw on Bell. Your babies are both adorable.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥
Thank you, Sandee! :-)
DeleteI don't go back and re-read a book unless it been awhile since I read it.
ReplyDeleteYou cat looks so adorable.
Thank you! :-)
DeleteBelle doesn't look like she's changed that much, she was adorable as a kitten and is still adorable.
ReplyDeleteWendy, I agree. Bell hasn't changed in her appearance as much as Fiona has. Bell has become Ms. Personality, though. :-)
Delete1- I also don't reread; authors usually give enough references to previous events that it's unnecessary. Feline Friday - adorable cats; ours died a year or so ago and I miss her and enjoy seeing other people's cute kitties.

Terrie, I'm so sorry about your cat. I had one for 17 years that crossed Rainbow Bridge in April. I love Bell and Fiona, but I still miss my Qandi. I'm glad you can get your feline fix from seeing other people's kitties. :-)
