Question: Have you tried a reel on Instagram?
My response: Yes, unintentionally. I recently posted a video I took on one of my walks. I thought I was just sharing a regular video post, but when I was done it told me I posted a reel. I don't even know what the difference is.π€·
Today's excerpts are from the paperback format of Strawberry Shortcake Murder (Hannah Swensen Mystery 2), by Joanne Fluke. I read this book a couple years ago. Next week I will be posting a review of Murder, She Baked: Just Desserts, which is a Hallmark movie based on this book. So I thought I'd revisit the book through this post. While I don't remember exactly what happens in the book, I remember it being similar to the movie, but with some differences. I also remember it being one of my favorite books in the series so far (and it's not just because strawberry shortcake is my favorite dessert). I'm currently on number 18 in the series, so it's fun to look back close to the beginning.
And here's an excerpt from page 56:
"Do they have any suspects yet?"
Hannah crossed her fingers, an old habit that had survived her childhood, and prepared to lie through her teeth. "I don't know, Mother."
Are these two incidents related? Why is Hannah lying? Check out Strawberry Shortcake Murder, by Joanne Fluke, if you want to find out!
Monday is the day my girls officially enter cathood (their one year birthday)! I wanted to take a nice picture of the two of them together for this occasion. Well...this is as good as it gets. Lol. You know how it goes with cats not cooperating for pictures. Anyway, yesterday I found all of these items under the stove. Most of them are strips I cut from bags of snack foods. Bell is especially obsessed with these strips. All I have to do is take the scissors out of the drawer and she assumes I'm going to cut open another bag. Sometimes she is highly mistaken, but most of the time she's right. She's not as possessive of these as she is of her Mousey, but she still loves them. The other toys are mostly Fiona's.
This is the book I would be on if I continued the series, which I will at some point. :-) Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting until summer to read the next one I'm on since that's when it takes place. :-)
DeleteIt is always nice to find lost toys again.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly agree! :-)
DeleteFeline Fridays sounds like lots of fun and so does your book.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne! :)
DeleteWow, 18 books in the series is impressive! It does sound interesting. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteCindy, there are about 30 in the series so far (it's still ongoing), so I still have a lot of catching up to do! :-)
DeleteI should get in on Feline Friday! My cats love to ignore my attempts to take pics of them.
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing at the accidental Instagram reel. That sounds like something I'd do. I've never made one, accidentally or on purpose.
Happy weekend!
Thank you, Lisa! You too! :-)
DeleteYou've got me beat, i'm not even on Instagram. My current life status is too old for Snapchat and too young for Life Alert.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with lying is it always catches up with you in some way, i hope she had a very, very good reason for lying to her mother.
Your kitty girls are beautiful. It's amazing how they will make things that aren't toys into their favorites. Thank you for joining Feline Friday!
Thank you! :-)
DeleteI just post pictures of my garden on Instagram. I don't know what a reel is or how to make one.
ReplyDeleteMost of what I post are pictures, too. :-)
