Happy Friday, friends!

Question: Do you have a "trademark" that everyone would know it's you whether you said your name or your blog name?
My response: Hmmm...I don't know...maybe my cats?
Today's excerpts are from the paperback format of When the Crow's Away (Evenfall Witches B&B Mystery 2), by Auralee Wallace. I am currently reading this book.
Pink and peach clouds, fiery in the sun's dying rays, rolled slowly across the baby blue sky.
And here's an excerpt from page 56:
When he arrived at the small table where Nora was sitting, he placed a piece of paper in front of her, gave it a pat, then backed away once more in the direction from which he had come. Once he reached the threshold, he said, "Enjoy your evening," then made a near run for the stairs.
The first sentence is a great example of how descriptive the text is throughout the book. What do you think all the excitement is over that piece of paper referred to in the excerpt from page 56? What's the significance of it?
If you enjoy cozies and you're looking for one that takes place in the spring, this one is perfect. However, like with most series, you might want to read In the Company of Witches first, since that begins the series. That first one takes place in the fall and it's just as good as this second one is (so far). To read my five-star review of In the Company of Witches, click here.
This isn't a great picture, but it's enough to show how fascinated with Fiona's tail Bell was. And still is. This picture was taken the day they came to live in their forever home when they were ten weeks old. Much to Fiona's dismay, Bell is still constantly going after Fiona's tail. Bell likes to chase her own tail as well, but she prefers to bug Fiona.
What a great pic of Bell and Fiona! When the Crow's Away looks like a book I'd enjoy. I have to add it to my list.
ReplyDeleteYvonne, I recommend reading In the Company of Witches first to get the backstory. Either way, enjoy!! :)
DeleteI'm with you on not quite knowing about a trademark of any type.
ReplyDeleteSome kitties just seem to have a liking for tail chasing. Yours are precious.
