Question: What are your thoughts on "happily ever after" endings?
My response: I love them! That's why I enjoy Hallmark movies and cozy mysteries so much. In cozy mysteries, a heinous crime takes place, but justice is always served.
Today's excerpts are from the print format of #FollowMe for Murder (Trending Topic Mystery 1), by Sarah E. Burr.
"It's the difference between life and death."
And here's an excerpt from page 56:
"You still up for this?" Hudson asked for what felt like the millionth time as he finished tying his tie.
I am more than halfway through this book and I hope to finish it this weekend, then post a review next week.
So, not the sharpest picture, but it shows the gist of the situation. I had just emptied a box and left it on the table. I was off doing something else and suddenly I heard a peculiar noise. It was a Bell-in-the-Box! From the looks of it, I don't think she expected to be caught. Lol. Notice Fiona's ears in the background. She's the innocent bystander (this time).
Sometimes i wonder if i'm up for anything at all! lol
ReplyDeleteBell-in-the-Box, you have to remember sound travels.
Thank you for joining Feline Friday!
Lol. She needs to plan better next time. :)
DeleteGood point about cozy mysteries being more likely to have a happy ending. I do like justice to be served in some way by the end of a story.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I want to leave the book feeling content. :)
DeleteGreat first line!! Happy wekeend!
ReplyDeleteThank you! You too! :)
DeleteSorry, Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI don't really read too many HEA. However, a good happily ever after makes for a good change once in awhile. Have a wonderful weekend, Meezan ☕☔ππ
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jody! You too! :-)
DeleteThe book sounds good. Kitties do love boxes, don't they?
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, they most certainly do! :-)
