Golden Gratitude - C is for Cottage Cheese

C is for cottage cheese. Cottage cheese has been a complete game-changer for me. 

I had been getting hungry in the middle of the night, needing a snack, and feeling famished again in the mornings upon waking up. More than one person suggested I more than likely just needed more protein in the evenings. Specifically, cottage cheese was suggested. It's high in protein and fairly low in calories. So I decided to give it a try. 

I was thrilled to find a brand where it's made from grass-fed cows, as this is the kind of dairy (and meat) I prefer to eat. Since then, I've been eating a half cup of cottage cheese as my bedtime snack. Suddenly, I no longer wake up feeling hungry, which means I'm sleeping better too. I'm once again able to get my walks in (or other cardio if weather does not permit) before breakfast. Starting my day this way makes a huge difference in the way I feel overall. And it's all because of cottage cheese!
