Golden Gratitude - J is for Jars

J is for jars. I love eating and drinking from jars. I make a batch of four breakfast smoothies ahead of time and I store them in jars (two in the fridge and two in the freezer that I defrost 24 hours ahead of time). I have also made other meals in jars, such as chia pudding and salads. With the salads, it's good to layer the ingredients with the dressing on the bottom. That way the ingredients don't get soggy or spoil. When I'm ready to eat it, I just empty it in a bowl and mix it. Jars are a great way to prep food ahead of time so on my busiest or most tiring days I have it all ready.

  1. What a great idea. Sounds like jars are a huge help in preparing meals. I never thought of it.

  2. I've heard of salad in a jar, but never tried it, I need to.

    I am grateful for fresh vegetable and fruit juices when I can get them, and for my friends being patient with me when I get behind on blog reading because of work.
