Felines and (no) Fill-ins Friday Week 9

Happy Feline Friday, everyone! I am giving Bell and Fiona the entire spotlight today, as I'm participating in one blog hop - Feline Friday, hosted by Comedy Plus. I don't know if you can tell, but in this picture Bell (left) is sleeping and Fiona (right) is wide awake. This perfectly describes their temperaments. Bell does get herself into trouble sometimes, but her overall temperament is very calm. On the other hand, Fiona is a very active little girl. She's gotten better, but usually when she sits on my lap, she plays with my jewelry, the pillow she's sitting on, buttons and zippers on my clothes, my clothes itself, and even my face. She has to touch everything! It's exhausting sometimes, but I'm trying my best to work with her on sitting calmly on my lap. I do think Bell is a good example for her in this respect. One day recently, Fiona saw Bell snuggling on my lap. After a while, Bell got up and left (I guess cats have things to do and places to go, too) and Fiona came over and sat with me. She snuggled up and took a nap. I believe she'll eventually do this more often, especially if she continues to see the way Bell behaves. It's funny because Fiona was so calm when she sat on my lap for the first time at the cat rescue. I guess she's become very comfortable in her forever home and she isn't so shy anymore!

As for the blanket that Bell is sleeping on in this picture, that's my Snuggie (the kind of large blanket with sleeves). Bell loves it as much as I do. When I'm wearing it, she often comes over, kneads her paws on it, and snuggles up on it (and on me). When I'm not wearing it, I often see her sleeping on it. Fiona clearly prefers the couch itself, so Bell gets the Snuggle all to herself.
