Today I am linking with Reading Reality, who hosts Stacking the Shelves and The Book Date, who hosts It's Monday! As always, I post a day early for that one, so be sure to check the link
I finished reading Red Velvet Cupcake Murder (Hannah Swensen 16), by Joanne Fluke a few days ago and I'll be posting my review later this month.
This week I will read Put Out to Pasture (Farm to Table Mysteries 2), by Amanda Flower. This book was published earlier this year. It takes place in the fall (as you can probably tell from the cover), so I've been waiting until this time of year to read it. I really enjoyed the first one in the series, Farm to Trouble, so I'm really excited to read this one. I gave the first one five solid stars on Goodreads, but that was back before I started writing reviews. I'll have to go back one day and post a review of number one.
I started reading Fiber Fueled: The Plant-Based Gut Health Program for Losing Weight, Restoring Your Health, and Optimizing Your Microbiome, by Will Bulsiewicz. I hadn't planned on reading a non-fiction book these last two months of the year because there are so many cozy mysteries I want to read before the year is done. However, I have been on the waiting list for this book since February and it finally became available. So I decided to check it out now. I am reading the e-book version because the print version was not available when I got on the waiting list. I believe that so much of our health can be maintained through the food we eat (I have personally reaped the benefits) and I like reading books that focus on this. This book was recommended to me by someone who is in the medical field.
I am also participating in another blog hop this week - Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. With this blog hop, I'll recap what I've posted over the past week. If you missed a post you want to read, just click on the link below.

Tomorrow (Monday) I'll be posting my five-star review of A Sprinkling of Murder (A Fairy Garden Mystery 1), by Daryl Wood Gerber. I hope you'll stop by and read my thoughts on this enchanting cozy mystery!
Thanks for reading. Have a great week and I'll see you in the blogosphere!
I think food is so important too, I'd like to read more about that. I love the cover of the Fluke mystery.
ReplyDeleteGreg, if you haven't already read or listened to it, I highly recommend What the Heck Should I Eat, by Dr. Mark Hyman. It's very comprehensive and it has a lot of practical ideas in it. Red Velvet Cupcake does have a delicious-looking cover! :-)
DeleteYou've been reading so many great cozies. They've all been on my TBR. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yvonne! :-)
DeleteYour cozy mysteries sound good. I remember seeing quite a few great reviews for the Amanda Flower book earlier this year, I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Wendy! :-)
DeleteThe book you recommended to Greg, above, is one I'll take to heart. I know I should eat better, but the whole following of what to eat when and what helps health vs weight, etc etc is overwhelming. Practical ideas I love so I'm going to check it out. Have a great week and curl up with a good book.

Terrie, I agree. It can be overwhelming. I have been following Dr. Mark Hyman for several years and his ideas for what to eat have definitely had a positive impact on me. His book "What the Heck Should I Eat" is well-organized and very helpful. I listened to it twice and took notes the second time. :-)
DeleteI do love cozy mysteries, especially viewing them on my screening devices. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! They are by far my favorite genre. :-)
DeleteGreat looking bunch of cozies! I should pay more attention to what I eat but have been going for what is close and convenient lately. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy. Sometimes that happens to me when I get very busy. I'll be by to visit you! :-)
DeleteI should read more books about food. I have a terrible diet. :) I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI've been there, AJ. It's a hard habit to break, but it's so worth it to make the change. :-)
DeleteI went to look up Fiber Fueled and ended up lost in reviews. In the end I decided to read How Not to Diet by Michael Greger. Have a great reading week.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like another good one, Cheriee. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for sharing! :-)
