Sunday Post 9

Hi everyone!

Today I am linking with Reading Reality, who hosts Stacking the Shelves and The Book Date, who hosts It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (This is posted on Mondays, so be sure to check the link then.)  There you will be able to see links to the posts from others who are participating, and if you're a blogger you can join too!

I am almost finished reading Escape Claws (A Cat Lady Mystery 1), by Linda Reilly. If I finish today, I'll post my review tomorrow (Monday). If I don't finish today, then tomorrow I'll post a review for something different and post the review for this one the following week. Not surprisingly, I am enjoying this book!

Next, I'll be reading Blackberry Pie Murder (Hannah Swensen Mysteries 17), by Joanne Fluke.

I was hoping to read more Christmas-themed books this month, but I'll probably end up reading only one...maybe two because I'm so behind with other books I want to read. I didn't plan well in advance, but next year will be different!

I am also participating in another blog hop today - Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. With this blog hop, I'll recap what I've posted over the past week. If you missed a post you want to read, just click on the link below.
  • Sunday Post 11/27 What I've been reading and a recap of the previous week's posts
  • Mystery Monday 11/28 - A review of The Diva Runs Out of Time (Domestic Diva Mysteries 1), by Krista Davis
  • Top Ten Tuesday 11/29 - Cozy reads and why they're cozy (not just mysteries)
  • Felines and Fill-ins Friday 12/2 - Response to weekly bookish question, fill-ins, kitty update
  • Puzzle 12/3 - Cozy magical, mystery theme
On a television note, has anyone been watching Hallmark Christmas movies? Some of my new favorites this year are Ghosts of Christmas Always (this is one of the most unique twists on A Christmas Carol that I've seen - what a fun surprise!), Three Wise Men and a Baby, and Haul Out the Holly. I love Lacey Chabert in almost any movie, but Haul Out the Holly is one of my favorites with her in it. She needs to do more romcoms like this!

Thanks for reading! I'll see you around the blogosphere!

    1. Greg, I need to find someplace that sells blackberry pie so I can have at least one slice while reading the book! :-)

  2. I need to plan better for Christmassy books too. I read all mine in September and October. I'm going to check out your hallmark movie recommendations. I haven't watched any yet, but love to watch them.

    1. Lol Wendy. That Christmassy book problem is the opposite of mine. I have to put most of mine off until next year. I'll probably do a Christmas in July theme with some of them. I hope you enjoy the Hallmark movies as much as I did. Three Wise Men and a Baby and Haul Out the Holly are really funny. Ghosts of Christmas Always was probably my favorite of those three. It's not as much of a comedy, but it was very well done. Another really good one I watched today was A Fabled Holiday. If you like a bit of magic in your movies, you might enjoy this one. :-)

  3. I also failed at planning my December reading, but there's always next year. Thanks for the movie recommendations! I need more Christmas spirit in my life.
