Felines and Fill-ins 18

Happy Felines and Fill-ins Friday!

I am participating in three blog hops today. You can click on the host links below to read the blogs of others who are participating, and if you're a blogger, feel free to join through the links below!

QuestionAre there any new books you're excited to read in 2023?

My response: YES! There are many books that I'm planning to read this year, most of which have already been published in previous years. As far as new releases in 2023 go, I'm really looking forward to reading Cheddar Late Than Dead (Grilled Cheese Mystery 3), by Linda Reilly, and book 7 in the Haunted Library Mystery series, by Allison Brook.

Just today I received an email saying my pre-ordered copy of Cheddar Late Than Dead has shipped! The release date is later this month. I have already read (and loved) the previous two, so I'm looking forward to the third installment. It's the only book I've ever pre-ordered. This series is close to my heart because my birthday is on National Grilled Cheese Day, but besides that, it's a great cozy mystery series! You can read my review of No Parm No Foul (Grilled Cheese Mystery 2) here.

Also today I found out that book 7 in the Haunted Library Mystery series will be released in October of this year. I don't know what the title of that one will be. So far I have read the first two in that series and I will read the third one very soon. I already borrowed it from the library (which I don't think is haunted lol). I'm planning to read the rest of the series before book 7 is released this year. You can read my reviews of the first two in this series by clicking on the links below:

I really love both of those series!

FRIENDLY FILL-INS, hosted by Four-Legged Furballs and 15 and Meowing. (I again tried to link to 15 and Meowing, but it still isn't working.)
1. A recent earworm I had was Here It Is Christmastime, by Kevin Bacon. (It's from the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney+.) After I heard it for the first time I could not get it off my mind.

2. I have no interest in reading books that contain vulgar language. I  have read some books with minimal vulgar language in it, but if it gets to be too much then I give up on the book. I've only had to do that once.

3. I would give my ideas for books in exchange for other people's ideas for books. Lol. This happens on a regular basis. :)

4.  Thanksgiving dinner is my favorite scent.

FELINE FRIDAY, formerly hosted by Comedy Plus and now hosted by messymimi's meanderings
Notice Bell's paw on top of Fiona's head. Bell must have pushed a button on Fiona that activated her tongue. Either that or Bell was trying to give Fiona rabbit ears like humans sometimes do.🐰

  3. I am reading Cheddar Late Than Dead right now! It's pretty good and I'm enjoying hanging out with Carley in Balsam Dell again! And, as usual, I've already made one grilled cheese sandwich! Bell and Fiona are adorable as always!

  7. Both of those series sound excellent, i wish i had more time for reading but work interferes mightily.

I never thought of Thanksgiving dinner as a scent, but i can see how it would be and why it would be a favorite.

Your cats are beautiful, maybe Fiona is giving Bell a raspberry for irritating her with her paw, the way kids bug each other and tease.

    Thanks for joining Feline Friday!

    1. Lol. Thank you. :-) I understand about work. That's how it was for me when I was working. (I retired on disability in 2010.)
