Felines and Fill-ins Week 17

Happy First Felines and Fill-ins Friday of 2023!

I am participating in three blog hops today for the first time in several weeks. You can click on the host links below to read the blogs of others who are participating, and if you're a blogger, feel free to join through the links below!

Question: What was the first book you read this year?

My response: I haven't finished reading any books yet this year. I'm currently reading Golem Girl: A Memoir by Riva Lehrer, which I started in December. That will most likely be the first one I finish this year, then I will start a few more. I'm going to the library this weekend to pick up several. I can't wait!

FRIENDLY FILL-INS, hosted by Four-Legged Furballs and 15 and Meowing. (I tried to link to 15 and Meowing, but it isn't working.)
1. January is a good month to stay cozy.

2. My favorite kind of pizza is veggie.

3. The new year just began and I'm already feeling overwhelmed with all the books I want to read.

4.  My typical weekend involves cooking and prepping food for the week ahead.

FELINE FRIDAY, formerly hosted by Comedy Plus and now hosted by messymimi's meanderings
The girls turned 8 months on January 1st. This is Bell wishing Fiona would hurry up and finish her bath so she can sleep in peace. Bell takes her naps very seriously.

  1. Good fill ins. I am not really a pizza lover but will eat it on occasion, but never ever put pineapple on it!!! Bell does look a bit annoyed with Fiona disturbing her sleep.

    1. Lol. I think most people either love or hate pineapple on pizza. I'm in between. I've had it before and didn't really care for it much, but I didn't hate it. However, it doesn't agree with my stomach, so I avoid it for that reason. Bell is a dilute tortie and the vet told me that torties have a reputation for having "tortitudes". Not sure if that's true for all torties, but her tortitude is starting to emerge now that she's almost a year old. :-)

  2. The first book I read this year was by Lisa Jewell – The Family Remans. I had this on my TBR list like forever, without realizing that it was the second book, and I did not read The Family Upstairs first. So needless to say I was really lost. I love Lisa Jewell’s books, so I am going to have to go back and read The Family Upstairs and then read The Family Remains again, which is fine with me.

  3. Reading is my favorite thing, i wish i could retire and read more.

Being a vegetarian, i approve of veggie pizza, it's my favorite, too.

Those two are beautiful, and naps are very, very important, but so are baths. Thanks for joining Feline Friday!
