Top Ten Tuesday (On a Wednesday) - January Caboodle of Movies

Hello, friends! I am a day late to the party, but I am here now!

This week's Top Ten Tuesday is different than my norm. The theme is a freebie, so I'm taking this opportunity to share a list of all the movies I watched in January and the ratings I gave them on Letterboxd (stars translated to mushrooms here). Since I'm doing a movie theme this week instead of a book theme, I am not linking with the weekly blog hop. I do watch a lot of movies (an average of 4 or 5 each week) and I want to share them with you each month. So look for this kind of post at the end or beginning of each month from now on!

Letterboxd allows for half stars, but I'm sticking to whole mushrooms. The heart is if the movie had the "it" factor, that something special. It does not have to earn five mushrooms in order to earn a heart. There could be plot holes, etc., but if I really enjoyed it for whatever reason, it earned a heart.

Most of the movies I watched in January (and most months) were produced by Hallmark. I watched Christmas movies through the first week of January. There were so many I wanted to watch and I didn't even get to all of them during the holiday season. I might have to do a Christmas in July movie theme!

The only one on this list that isn't produced by Hallmark is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I recently reviewed Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate, so you can click on that link to read my review. I will most likely post a review of  Family History Mysteries: Buried Past soon too.

The number on the left is the date in January when I watched the movie. A couple of movies I watched over a period of a couple days. The date is when I finished watching it. However, I watch most movies in one day (half in the morning and half in the afternoon).

At the bottom of this list I'll tell you which were my top three favorite movies in January were.

And now, I present to you my January 2023 Caboodle of Movies!

My top 3:
3.  The Wedding Veil Inspiration - This is my favorite movie out of the six. I enjoyed the story and the subplot with the supporting cast.

2. Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate - I do love my cozy mysteries! I watched this movie a few times since it first aired last year and I've enjoyed it more each time because I pick up on little details that I didn't previously notice. I cannot wait for the follow-up which airs in less than a week!

1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - As much as I love Hallmark movies, you might think one of those takes the top spot, but not this time. I love mystery and magic and Harry Potter has it all.

*I've also been watching Hallmark's new television series, The Way Home and I love it!

Have you seen any of these? If so, what are your thoughts on them? What was your favorite movie that you watched in January?
