Hi, everyone!
It's Sunday, so I am once again linking with Reading Reality, who hosts Stacking the Shelves, and The Book Date, who hosts It's Monday! What Are You Reading? The latter is posted on Mondays, so be sure to check the link then.) On all of these blogs you will be able to see links to the posts from others who are participating in these blog hops, and if you're a blogger, you can join too!

RECENTLY FINISHED
I finished reading the e-book version of Murder in a Scottish Shire (Scottish Shire Mystery 1), by Traci Hall. This was a cozy, comfort read with just the right amount of tense moments. There were a lot of characters, which was good in that there were plenty of viable suspects. However, there were so many that at times I forgot details about who they were. I highlighted the character names as they were introduced and I often referred back to that list of highlights. Other than that, I really enjoyed it and I will likely read the next one in the series. I gave it 4/5 stars.
IN PROGRESS
I am reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by J.K. Rowling, this week. I'm excited that I have the print book this time.
UP NEXT
I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally read A Hint of Mischief (Fairy Garden Mystery 3), by Daryl Wood Gerber. I timed it to read during my birthday month (April) because it involves a birthday bash. I really loved the first two books in this series and I'm certain I will enjoy this one, too. The 4th installment, A Flicker of a Doubt, releases this Tuesday. I already know I want to read and own a copy of that one, too. You can read my review of the first one, A Sprinkling of Murder, here.
I am also participating in another blog hop today - Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. With this blog hop, I'll recap what I've recently posted. If you missed a post you want to read, just click on the link below.

Last week I watched the second installment in the Mystery 101 series, Playing Dead. This week I will watch the remaining five movies. Instead of trying to post reviews of all of them, I am going to post one review of the series when I'm done (apart from the pilot movie that I reviewed here).
I have been re-watching all previously-aired episodes of The Way Home, and tonight I am going to stay up to watch the season finale. I go to bed early and usually record everything I want to watch on Hallmark, then watch them during the week. I am making an exception for tonight's season finale. That's how excited I am to watch it! I just don't know how any other show that comes after this one will measure up to it. Right now, I'm leaning towards not watching Ride. I'll record the season just in case I change my mind.

Sounds like a good week. We are watching an older season of The American Race, we kind of got hooked on that years behind everyone else, LOL. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteCindy, oh, I can relate. I just recently started watching Murder, She Wrote for the first time! Lol! :-)
DeleteYou always have good cozies. I used to read them but haven't lately, but I like visiting blogs that showcase them because I can kind of keep up on what's out there. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Greg! Needless to say, it is my favorite genre. :D
DeleteI hope the season finale was worth staying up to watch!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely was!! I can't wait until Season 2 starts! Probably not until next year, though.
DeleteI need to check out The Way Home. I hope you have a great week
ReplyDeleteIt is such a great series. It might not get a wide audience because some people might think it's a typical cheesy Hallmark series, but it's so different. It really could be on any network. I'm so looking forward to Season 2. :-)
