Top Ten (and More) Tuesday - May Caboodle of Movies

Happy Top Ten Tuesday! This blog hop is brought to us by That Artsy Reader Girl. On her blog you will see links to the blogs of others who are participating in Top Ten Tuesday. If you are a blogger, feel free to join the party through the linky on her blog post.

Today's suggested topic is Books or Covers that Look/Feel Like Summer. I'm going to do a similar theme soon, so instead, today I will post my monthly list of movies watched in May.

Letterboxd allows for half stars, but I'm sticking to whole instead of sliced mushrooms. The heart indicates when the movie had the "it" factor, that something special that makes it a favorite of mine. It does not have to earn five mushrooms in order to earn a heart. There could be plot holes, etc., but if it was still immensely enjoyable, it earned a heart. Also, if it received five mushrooms, it didn't necessarily earn a heart. It might have been a great movie, but not one I'd want to see again because there were some elements I didn't like.

The number on the left is the date in May when I watched the movie. Most of the time, I watch half a movie in the morning while having breakfast and the second half in the afternoon while having lunch. Hallmark movies, which are mostly what I watch, are all less than 90 minutes long without commercials, so via DVR I can easily watch one per day most days.

There are two movies listed for May 31st because I wanted to get the Love Club movies done before June. I had already watched the first one when it aired earlier this year. For the last three, I watched one and a half  movies one day and one and a half movies the second day. The date listed is the date I finished watching the movie, but not necessarily the day I started. Live is complicated, isn't it? Lol.

Here's the full list for May:

And now I will rank all of the Spring Into Love 2023 movies from least favorite to favorite. There are some others that premiered in May, but are not in the Spring Into Love category. I'll rank those later this year.

Hearts in the Game
Love in the Maldives
The Wedding Cottage
When Love Springs
A Picture of Her
A Pinch of Portugal
The Professional Bridesmaid

I didn't give any of these five stars, but The Professional Bridesmaid was definitely my favorite from the Spring Into Love series. It wasn't perfect, but I thought it was fun and it flowed well.

Not surprisingly, my overall favorites in May were mysteries. You can read my reviews of both of those movies by clicking on the links for them in the list above (May 15th and May 19th).

Have you watched any of these? What did you think of them?
