Today's topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing During the Second Half of 2023. Since I was a late bloomer with cozy mysteries, I have a lot of catching up to do. Most cozy mysteries are series and there are very few that I'm all caught up on. So I'll list the ones releasing this year that I'm looking forward to, but in most of these cases I still have several books to read before diving into the latest one in each series.
Pink Lemonade Cake Murder (Hannah Swensen Mystery 29), by Joanne Fluke, is set to release on July 25th. I've been reading the series over a period of about two years now. I'm on number 18, but I'm going to do a re-do of 17 first. I already read it, so this time I'll listen to the audiobook. I'm planning to read the entire series.
A Fatal Groove (Record Shop Mystery 2), by Olivia Blacke, also releases on July 25th. I haven't yet read the first one, Vinyl Resting Place, but the series is on my TBR list.
Overdue or Die (Haunted Library Mystery 7), by Allison Brook, is part of a series I've been reading seasonally. I have two more left to read, then I'll be ready for this one. It is set to release on October 3rd.
As someone who loves both magic and movies, I am really looking forward to Magic, Movies, and Murder (Bewitcher's Beach Mystery 1), by Emily Fluke. It also releases on October 3rd. I am currently reading the prequel to this series, Be Careful What You Witch For, which is available to download for free if you subscribe to the author's newsletter.
A Nutcracker Nightmare (Killer Chocolate Mystery 2), by Christina Romeril, releases on October 17th. I'm planning to read the first one, A Christmas Candy Killing, in July so I can be ready for the next one when it's released.
Coconut Drop Dead (Spice Isle Bakery Mystery 3), by Olivia Matthews, releases on December 26th. I haven't read any books in this series yet, but I want to. The premise reminds me a lot of my own roots.
Have you read any of these series? What are you looking forward to?
My available reading time varies so much from day to day i don't plan my reading ahead much. Maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteI understand. Even though I don't work anymore, my reading time varies too. I just like having a plan, even if I don't exactly follow it. :-)
DeleteThe Romeril series sounds especially fun! I'll have to take a closer look at that one. I hope you enjoy catching up on all these series.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
