Sunday Post 11

Hi everyone!

Today I am linking with The Book Date, who hosts It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (This is posted on Mondays, so be sure to check the link then.)  There you will be able to see links to the posts from others who are participating in this blog hop, and if you're a blogger you can join too!

I finished reading Blackberry Pie Murder (Hannah Swensen Mysteries 17), by Joanne Fluke. I'm not sure if I will post a review of it this week or instead post something more seasonal. (This book takes place in August.) For now, I can say it is my least favorite in the series so far and I gave it three stars on Goodreads. I will however, continue reading the series next year. I've come this far and I can't stop now!

I started reading Read and Gone (Haunted Library Mysteries 2), by Allison Brook. I am enjoying it so far! You can read my review of Death Overdue (Haunted Libary Mysteries 1) here.

I continued reading this non-fiction book, Golem Girl: A Memoir by Riva Lehrer. This is a well-written book about an artist who was born with spina bifida. It is an interesting read, and in some ways, relatable. I'm on target to finish it the second week of January when the book club meets. (So you'll probably see my updates on it here for a few more weeks.)

I am also participating in another blog hop today - Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. With this blog hop, I'll recap what I've posted over the past week. If you missed a post you want to read, just click on the link below.
I am taking a break from Top Ten Tuesday until January.

Thanks for reading! I'll see you around the blogosphere!

  2. Golem Girl sounds intriguing - I like books about art and artists and this one seems like it would have a different focus. I saw your puzzle post earlier - a good reminder for me to find those online puzzles again. Happy Reading.

    1. Terrie, there are some heavy topics covered in the book because of what she has experienced in her life. It's really eye-opening for me, even as someone who was born with the same disability she was born with. As for the puzzles, I like Jigsaw Planet. I have a free account there so I can go back to longer puzzles and finish them later. I also like that I can see the ones I completed and also create my own. :-)

  6. I've had a few of the haunted library books for review and enjoyed them. I also keep seeing Joanne Fluke's books on my Amazon daily deal emails. I've bought a couple but actually only read the first book in the series. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
