Golden Gratitude - E is for Event

E is for event. I'm grateful for the event my local library hosted yesterday! 11 authors from Sisters in Crime spoke briefly about their new releases. Then they did a meet 'n greet. I bought a few books, met the authors, and got the books signed. These were all books that were already on my TBR list, so it was very exciting to have them signed and chat with the authors.

This was the first time I have ever attended an event like this. It's an annual event and I'm already looking forward to next year. It reminded me of the bead expos Stephanie and I used to attend. My only wish was that my best friend could have joined me yesterday. She would have been as stars struck as I was. It felt a little strange going there alone, especially at first, but I quickly settled into it and just enjoyed the afternoon.
