Golden Gratitude - X is for Xanthein

X is for xanthein. Xanthein is a yellow pigment found in leaves. In my neighborhood, it's the most abundant color in the fall. It really brightens up the landscape, even on cloudy days. 

(Yes, I had to do a little amateur sleuthing to find a word for x. Can you come up with a different one?)
