Sunday Post 7

Hi everyone! I am posting later today because Ravens! Woohoo!!! 🏈

I am linking with The Book Date, who hosts It's Monday! What Are You Reading?  There you will be able to see the posts from others who are participating and if you're a blogger you can join too!

It has been a very cold and blustery day, much like winter, so it was a good day to stay in, order snacks, and watch football. Funny enough, I accidentally turned the A/C on yesterday and left it to automatically turn on overnight when it got too hot.πŸ˜‚ Thankfully, the A/C has more common sense than I do and it stayed off. I did wonder why it felt so cold, though. LOL. Now the heat is on.😊

I can't say I got much reading done today, but that's usually the way my weekends are. I tend to read more during the week. However, even last week I didn't get much reading done. I didn't add any new books. I just continued reading the two I had already started. Let's see where I am.

I continued reading Fiber Fueled: The Plant-Based Gut Health Program for Losing Weight, Restoring Your Health, and Optimizing Your Microbiome, by Will Bulsiewicz and I think I have about 70 pages (on my phone's e-book version) to go before I get into the recipes. It's due in three days and I don't think I can renew it since others are waiting, so I may finish it this week or else I'll have to get on the waiting list to finish it another time.

I started reading "The Diva Runs Out of Thyme" (A Domestic Diva Mystery 1), by Krista Davis last week and I'm about a third of the way done. This book will likely take me right up to Thanksgiving. There's a lot going on in this book. Lol. It's a fun read so far.

I am also participating in another blog hop today - Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. With this blog hop, I'll recap what I've posted over the past week. If you missed a post you want to read, just click on the link below.
  • Sunday Post 11/13 What I've been reading and a recap of the previous week's posts
  • Mystery Monday 11/14 - A review of Put Out to Pasture (Farm to Table Mysteries 2), by Amanda Flower
  • Top Ten Tuesday 11/15 - Cute cozy mystery book covers
  • Felines and Fill-ins Friday 11/18 - Response to weekly bookish question, fill-ins, and kitty update (This was one of my favorite weeks for the Book Blogger Hop and the Fill-ins.)
  • Puzzle 11/19 - Thanksgiving theme
Thanks for reading. I hope all of you in the U.S. have a Happy Thanksgiving and I hope everyone has a wonderful week, whether your observe the holiday or not!

  1. Hope you're enjoying The Diva Runs Out of Thyme! I've been on the lookout for more Thanksgiving themed cozy mysteries. There don't seem to be many out there, at least when compared to Halloween and Christmas. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    1. I agree, Diana. I wish I could find more Thanksgiving cozies. I know there are a handful out there, but my issue is also that I like to read series in order. The Diva Runs Out of Thyme is the first in the series, so it was perfect. I might have to plan ahead for next Thanksgiving! :-)

  2. Our thermostat has an upper limit for the AC and a lower limit for the heat. We're cool enough at night for the heat to come on. But when I open all the windows during the day, all that sunshine warms us up enough to make the AC come on! Luckily I've been home to turn it off. There's no need for it to be on when I can just open a window. You've reminded me that I should just set it to heat instead of having both temperatures set right now.

It's so frustrating when you have to return a book and then go to the back of the waitlist. I've usually completely forgotten what I read before when it's my turn again.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. Jen, I prefer to open the windows whenever possible, too. However, having two curious kittens, I can't open them too much. I'm hoping they grow out of their extreme wildness by next spring. :-) As far as continuing a book later, that has happened to some extent with an audio book before where I forgot what I read, but once I started listening again it started to all come back to me. It was a non-fiction book and so is this one. This usually doesn't happen with fiction books. With those I think I'd just have to start over and hope I can finish it in time the second time around.. :-)

    1. Thank you, Greg. We have the freezing, but not the snow. Please send that snow here, but just to my condo since not everyone wants snow right now. LOL. Happy Thanksgiving! :-)

  8. I like reading a series in order too. There are a few I feel I can read in any order like the Andy Carpenter mysteries and the Meg Langslow mysteries, but most feel wrong to read out of order. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. Kathy, I think the Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple series would be okay reading out of order too, but I'm not completely sure since I haven't read the entire series. :-)
