Hi everyone!
I hope you're doing well. I had a pretty good week. On Tuesday afternoon I joined Sarah E. Burr on her YouTube channel to celebrate the release of her new book in the Trending Topic Mystery series, #TagMe For Murder. As part of the celebration, she had a giveaway for a T.J. Maxx gift certificate and both of her books in the series. I cannot believe I won! I'm so excited for this win. I have been wanting to read these books, but my library (where I get most books I read) does not have them. I asked them to purchase them and I do believe they will. However, it could take months for the library to receive them. I'm so excited I'll receive them sooner and they will be signed copies! I'm planning to kick off the unofficial start to summer in May by reading both of these books. As for the gift certificate, I already redeemed it and my purchase is on the way. (I won't tell you I chose to buy a stuffed gnome with this gift certificate. Nope. I'll just keep that to myself.)
In the evening that same day, The Cozy Mystery Book Club met on YouTube to discuss the April pick, A Brush with Murder, by Bailee Abbott. There was a lot to discuss with this book and we ended up meeting for almost two hours. That's the longest meetup we've had since I joined the book club last year. I always enjoy these monthly book club meetups and I love the YouTube format.
Did anyone here attend Malice Domestic this weekend? I looked at the list of Agatha winners and nominees and added a few books to my TBR list. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees!
Today I am once again linking with Reading Reality, who hosts Stacking the Shelves, and The Book Date, who hosts It's Monday! What Are You Reading? The latter is posted on Mondays, so be sure to check the link then. On these blogs you will be able to see links to the posts from others who are participating in these blog hops, and if you're a blogger, you can join too.

IN PROGRESS
I am currently reading Checked Out for Murder (Haunted Library Mystery 4), by Allison Brook. I'm only a few chapters in, but I'm really enjoying it even more than the previous one in the series. I'm hoping to finish it this week.
I'm currently listening to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, by J.K. Rowling and narrated by Jim Dale. WOW!! I am really enjoying the narration! This is, by far, my favorite narration that I've listened to. I highly recommend listening to this audiobook if you haven't yet! I'm a little more than halfway done and on track to finish this week.
UP NEXT
I am so excited to read When the Crow's Away (Evenfall Witches B&B Mystery 2), by Auralee Wallace next! The first one in this series, In the Company of Witches, was one of my favorite cozies in 2022. To read my review of In the Company of Witches, click here.
I am also participating in Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer. With this blog hop, I'll recap what I've recently posted. If you missed a post you want to read (or if you want to read it again!), just click on the link below.

I didn't watch any Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies last week. I did watch five Hallmark movies, including two mysteries that I re-watched. I'll be posting reviews of those two soon. I also continued watching the t.v. series Once Upon a Time on Disney+. I love everything about this show, including the fairy tale aspect and the time travel element. I'm so glad I can watch it on Disney+ even if I do have the cheapest option with ads. I may eventually get tired of the ads, but right now I'm keeping it that way.
Let me know in the comments what's going on in your world!
Congrats on the win! How fun.
ReplyDeleteYour posts always make me want to dive back into cozies. :)
Thank you, Greg! Go for it! :-)
DeleteCongrats for winning! That's a series I've been wanting to read, too. It's on my wishlist. It looks great. I have to, also, catch up on the Haunted Library series. I love that one. Hope you enjoy your books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yvonne. I'm trying to finish them before the next one is released in October. It wouldn't be a problem if other books weren't calling for my attention too. I'm sure you can relate. :-)
DeleteCongratulations on the win! As much as we love and count on our libraries, they can't carry everything, or buy everything we want as quickly as we'd like.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
